About us

History

The first Bloxham Festival of Faith and Literature took place over a weekend in October 2011 at St Mary’s Church, Bloxham. It was the idea of Sir Tony Baldry, then MP for North Oxfordshire and the Second Church Estates Commissioner, who lives in the village, and was hosted by the Revd Sarah Tillett, who was then Priest-in-charge of Bloxham with Milcombe and South Newington.

In 2013 the Church Times took on the running of the Festival in the congenial surroundings of Bloxham School.

We remain very grateful to all our friends and volunteers from the Bloxham community who have been so generous in their support over the years.

We have decided to move the Festival and more news will be announced shortly.

Meanwhile we are planning another one-day online-only event in February 2022. Make sure you sign up for email alerts and we will email you news as soon as the programme is ready.
